Rochester voters participate in survey that simulates policy making: Democrats and Republicans agree on multiple federal budget cuts

A survey of Rochester voters found some common ground on federal spending and taxes.

Congress is polarized and there is gridlock on tax and spending policies, according to Howard Konar, director of Common Ground Solutions.

But when it comes to spending, local voters are not as polarized as it may seem.

“This survey shows our elected leaders that Republicans and Democrats can find common ground, and that it’s time for them to come together,” Rochester’s Konar said.
